Canoe Instruction
Northeast Guide Service offers American Canoe Association canoe instruction clinics, from flatwater to whitewater. Learn to paddle your canoe and go places that you only dreamed about. Learn to whitewater canoe from ACA-certified whitewater canoeing instructors and Registered Maine Guides. These rivers are perfect for learning to canoe in Maine. We have instruction for 1-, 2-, or 3-day clinics at all ability levels, and we offer private lessons as an alternative option for all our ACA instructional clinics. - All equipment provided. State-of -the-art canoes, lifejackets, paddles, helmets, skirts, all safety equipment, transportation, Certified ACA Instructors and Registered Maine Guide on every trip, and our famous River Lunch are all included.
- Ages 14 and over welcome in our ACA instructional clinics. A parent or guardian must accompany anyone under the age of 18.
- Minimum 4 participants in all instructional clinics or join an existing class.
- Wetsuits are available at an additional cost and required on some trips.
- Video and photos are available on any trip at an additional cost and must be requested in advance.
- Book a trip or clinic with 16 people and the 16th person is FREE!!!

- Licensed Registered Maine Guides and participants of past Northeast Guide Service ACA instructional clinics get an additional 15% OFF!!!
- We pride ourselves on small personalized trips and clinics.
- You must sign up for all scheduled programs in advance.
- Our Instructor to student ratio is 6 to 1 maximum.
- We welcome the use of your own boat or equipment as long as it meets our specifications and guidelines.
